Nestled along the sun-drenched coastline of the Aegean, a prestigious boutique hotel approached us with a vision — to transform their sprawling one-acre outdoor space into a world-class hospitality experience. What followed was one of our most ambitious and rewarding projects to date.
The Brief
The hotel's outdoor area — roughly one acre of terraced stone, poolside decking, and garden walkways — needed a complete transformation. The client wanted a seamless blend of luxury, durability, and artistic character. Guests should feel transported the moment they stepped outside: sun-kissed, unhurried, and surrounded by beauty. Our brief was clear: curate furniture that could withstand the Mediterranean climate while delivering five-star aesthetics, and punctuate the space with sculptural art that would become talking points in their own right.
The Sunbed & Poolside Zone
The centrepiece of the project was the poolside area. We specified our High-End Modular Outdoor Furniture Set – Solid Wood Poolside Collection with Canopy Daybed (ISOLA) for the prime poolside positions. The ISOLA's canopy structure provided guests with shade on demand while maintaining an open, airy silhouette that complemented the hotel's whitewashed architecture.
Paired alongside these were our Luxury Teak Solid Wood Sun Loungers with Quick-Dry Cushions — a perennial favourite for hospitality projects. Teak's natural oils make it exceptionally resistant to salt air and UV exposure, ensuring the pieces age gracefully season after season.
For the more social, lounge-oriented zones around the pool's shallow end, we introduced our Italian Light-Luxury Outdoor Furniture – Solid Oak Wood Collection, featuring sofas, sunbeds, and dining tables. The warm honey tones of the solid oak created a natural warmth against the cool blue of the pool water — a contrast that guests immediately gravitated towards.
The Dining & Gathering Terraces
Across the upper terraces, where guests gathered for al fresco breakfasts and evening cocktails, we installed our Luxury Teak Solid Wood Outdoor Dining Sets in configurations ranging from four to eight seats. UV-resistant and built to last, these tables became the social heart of the outdoor space — the kind of furniture that invites long, lingering meals and unhurried conversation.
The Art Installations
Perhaps the most distinctive element of this project was the sculptural programme. The hotel's creative director was passionate about contemporary art, and we were delighted to supply a curated selection of our KAWS sculpture collection as statement installations throughout the grounds.
The KAWS Still Moment sculpture was positioned at the garden's main entrance — a contemplative, quietly powerful piece that set the tone for the entire space. Further into the grounds, the KAWS Share and KAWS Gone sculptures were placed at key sightlines, creating moments of discovery as guests wandered the terraces. Each piece sparked conversation, became a backdrop for photography, and gave the outdoor space a cultural depth that elevated it far beyond a typical hotel garden.
The Result
The completed project transformed a beautiful but underutilised outdoor space into a destination in its own right. Guests now linger longer. The pool terrace is fully booked from sunrise. The sculptures have become social media landmarks. And the hotel's outdoor offering has become a genuine competitive advantage in a crowded market.
This project is a testament to what thoughtful furniture and art curation can achieve — not just aesthetically, but commercially. When outdoor spaces are designed with intention, they become experiences. And experiences are what guests remember, return for, and recommend.
